Fresh air, autumnal foliage, and that impossible desire to trade iced lattes in favor of pumpkin spice lattes, autumn can make you feel the need to change your style, all the way down to fingertips. The gel nails of this season are all about deep colors, quirky textures, and minor details that seem to be wearable art. No matter your preference of earthy minimalism or striking patterns or something with a bit of sparkle, fall 2025 is a world of opportunities to have your nails do the talking. So, which look will be your signature this season?
Golden Pumpkin Glow
It is something warm about the orange gel polish, which makes you feel the autumnal spirit, and this beauty brings it to the next level. The deep, pumpkin-hued nails are offset against two accented nails in a sheer nude base with pieces of irregular gold foil. The trick is the preparation of the nails at home: buff lightly, push back the cuticles, apply a dehydrator. Once your base color has cured, press bits of foil into the slightly tacky surface. Paint a top coat liberally, leaving each layer to cure to seal everything in. Celebrity nail artist Betina Goldstein speaks a lot about the balance between minimalism and statement, and this design is precisely that sweet spot.
I wore something like this last October, and I swear it made every outfit a little more polished. Even my plain knit sweaters looked editorial. That is the charm of a well-planned fall manicure, it can be an accessory on its own.

Personally, I love matte nails in fall so much because they are so grounding, like a comfy oversized scarf, but the gold keeps them out of too-casual land.
Black & Gold Edge
It is a daring, contemporary and shamelessly stylish design that will be a power move on your nails. A combination of shiny metallic gold, matt black, and two tiger-stripe details makes it ideal to anyone who enjoys a statement manicure in the winter. It’s edgy without losing elegance.
To achieve this effect, I would recommend using a gold chrome powder over a cured black base onto the metallic nails brands such as Daily Charme have great pigments in chrome. On the black nails, the Gelish Licorice nail polish gives the right deep matte finish. Using a striping brush, the tiger stripes may be applied using alternating gold and black gel polish.
To get sharp animal stripes, remember to hold your hand still and also not to overload the brush with polish. Asymmetry in stripes makes them appear more natural, and once, nail artist Mei Kawajiri stated so, and I could not agree more about this design flourishing on that not-so-perfect perfection.
Last fall when I wore a similar set I wore chunky gold rings and a leather jacket and the compliments were never-ending. It is one of those designs that almost begs to be noticed in a good manner.

On the burgundy, I would use “Dark Dahlia” by CND Shellac and on the leopard, I would use a beige base, such as Bare Hug by Orly Gel FX. The spots may be made using a dotting tool and a darker brown gel polish, with a thin black outline.
Leopard prints are classic, and the trick to keeping them stylish is to keep it minimal one or two nails. Nail pro Julie Kandalec has previously described animal prints as the red lipstick of nail art, and I totally understand why.

With this look, I would go with a blush-colored gel such as OPI GelColor in “Mod About You” as a base, and a fine champagne glitter gel like those offered by The GelBottle Inc as accents. When you paint the glitter in a diagonal direction, it makes the nail appear longer–a manicure tip I picked up from celebrity nail artist Sarah Bland.
I personally think that this type of manicure is the ultimate transition style. It can be worn with a turtleneck and jeans as well as a sleek evening dress, so it is an easy fall-back during the busier months.
Espresso Swirl Art

To create the gradient, a sponge dabbed lightly between the orange (Gelish “Orange Crush Blush”) and brown (OPI “That’s What Friends Are Thor”) does the trick. The leaves may be painted with a micro detail brush using black gel to be precise.
Whenever I do an autumn ombr, I am reminded of the sunsets during that time of the year, each one unique and that is the beauty. The light foliage in this design makes it seem like you have a pocket of nature with you.

Deep garnet nails contrast with sheer, leaf-patterned accent nails. The red, orange, and copper leaves add movement and a small rhinestone at the cuticle has the perfect amount of sparkle.

Alternate these two base colors, and then cure, and then press your foil carefully on a tacky surface where you desire your leaf patterns to appear. And finish it with a shiny top coat to make it look like glass with a salon finish.
I never feel that this manicure does not start a conversation. People just can not stop commenting whether it is a person giving me my latte or a friend noticing them during brunch. It is a confirmation that brown does not have to be dull, in fall, it can be the most extravagant color on your hands.
